Adam Witwer, smiling, in glasses and a maroon cardigan

Hi, I’m

Adam Witwer

Product executive who’s spent 25 years where learning, publishing, and software meet: EdTech, SaaS, and a lot of books. Having a blast with AI.

Things I tinker with

Nights-and-weekends projects.

Home automation My house, but it reports back.

  • Watchlog

Everything I watch on Plex and Apple TV, logged automatically by a Raspberry Pi and published right here. No typing required.

  • Hydrawise Watcher

The sprinklers post to Discord when each zone finishes watering, plus a weekly recap. We may be a little obsessed with our garden (and the birds in it).

  • One-Click CNN

One tap on my phone launches CNN on the Roku and handles the TV’s mute button. Also launches daily via a cron on the Pi.

Productivity Tools for my own brain.

  • Legible

An archive for my handwritten notebooks. Snap a page, AI reads my handwriting, and every note is searchable in milliseconds.

Hobbies Dice and birds, mostly.

  • Crits & Fumbles

Critical hit and fumble tables for D&D, on the web and inside Foundry VTT. Roll responsibly.

  • Fountain Buddy

Cameras watch the backyard fountain and feeders, AI identifies the birds, and I weigh in on the tricky ones over Discord. The AI gets smarter from my input.

Miscellaneous Just some fun projects.

  • admit.me

A free tool that shows MBA hopefuls how their profile stacks up, with ideas for strengthening it. Built from scratch, used by real applicants.

  • Just GPT-3 Things

From the archive: what came back when I first started handing prompts to GPT-3 in 2020. My early days getting to know AI.
